Assam is an integral part of the Paradise Unexplored and has few virgin forests to date. The Raimona National Park was declared a National Park on World Environment Day that is on June 5. And within a month Dehing Patkai was declared a National Park making Assam is the third highest state in terms of the number of National Parks it houses after Madhya Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. And these brand new National Parks are still unexplored and untouched by the common people hence making it a rich hotspot for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers. You shall be exploring with us 7 National Parks and 2 Wildlife sanctuaries of Assam in 11 Days. It will stress from West to the east of the state. Below is the itinerary.  

Day 1: Guwahati – Manas National Park 

The first day of the trip will begin with your pickup from Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. We will make a quick visit to the auspiciousKamakhya Temple to seek blessings from MaaKamakhya. After that our onward journey starts. Manas National Park is 137 km away from Guwahati and it will take 3 -4 hours to reach there. On reaching we will have a leisurely walk in the periphery area of the forest till the sunsets. Overnight stay in Manas National Park. 

Day 2: Manas National Park – Raimona National Park

The day begins with us waking up to the mesmerizing view of the clean blue waters of the Manas river and an early morning jeep safari inside the National Park. The park is known for its endangered endemic wildlife like roofed turtle, hispid hare, pygmy hog, etc. After the safari, we will enjoy our breakfast and have a quick view of bordering Bhutan and the endpoint of India. After that, we will get ready for our next onward journey to Raimona National Park which is 144 km away and it will take around 3-4 hrs to reach there. In the evening we can enjoy the campfire with the locals and the forest guards hearing stories of the past.  Overnight stay in Raimona National Park. 

Day 3: Raimona National Park – Guwahati

Today early morning jeep safari inside the deep and virgin Raimona National Park where we might sight the Golden Langur, the endemic flagship species of the park named as the mascot of Bodoland region. Later we will explore the local Bodo villages along the fringe of the forest and after returning we will enjoy our breakfast and get ready for the return journey to Guwahati. If time permits, we can opt to enjoy the local markets and local food in Guwahati. Overnight stay in Guwahati. 

Day 4: Guwahati – Pobitiora Wildlide Sactuary – Orang National Park

Today early morning we will begin our journey to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary for jeep safari inside the forests. It has a large population of Rhinos after Kaziranga National Park and if we are lucky we might get a chance to angle a selfie shot with them. After the safari we will head towards Orang National Park which is 149 kms away and will take around 4 -5 hours to reach. Orang is one of the oldest game reserves of Assam and is famous for its population of Tigers and Rhinos. If we are very lucky we might sight a tiger searching for his prey. Overnight stay in Tezpur. 

Day 5: Tezpur – Nameri National Park

After breakfast, we will head towards Nameri National Park which is 93 kms away and will take about 2- 3 hours to reach. We shall check in in a eco camp and enjoy bonefire and local food in the night.

Day 6: Nameri National Park – Kaziranga National Park 

Start of the day with a morning trek inside the forests and river rafting as safari is not available inside the forest. Nameri is a hub for photographers and birdwatchers as it is the best sighting spot for the endangered bird White-Winged Duck which is also the state bird of Assam. Later we can opt for a rafting experience in the Jia Bhorali river which is another charm of the place. After lunch we will head towards Kaziranga National Park which is 88 kms away and will take about 2 -3 hours to reach there. Overnight stay in a beautiful resort in Kaziranga National Park.

Day 7: Kaziranga – Dibru- Saikhowa National Park

Start of the morning with elephant safari inside one of the range of Kaziranga and experience. Here we can have a unique experience with the One-Horned Rhinos for which it is famous for. Apart from that, it is the hotspot for a wide variety of wildlife and birds making it the most popular National Park of Assam. Later we will treat you to an amazing breakfast in the resort. Now we will head towards Dibru – Saikhowa National Park which is 337 kms away and will take around 7-8 hours to reach there. Overnight stay in Dibru Saikhowa National Park. 

Day 8: Dibru – Saikhowa National Park

Early morning, we will enjoy our breakfast overseeing the mighty Brahmaputra from the GuijanGhat. After breakfast, through a ferry/boat ride, we will head towards the Kekjori Tree which is hundred years old and is spread over few acres. On our way back we can spot the various migratory birds as well as the dolphins. Lunch will be arranged in the boat and after that, we will head towards MaguriBeel which is the hotspot for birdwatchers. In the evening you can visit the local community nearby and taste some of their local food. Overnight in Dibru Saikhowa National Park. 

Day 9: Dibru- Saikhowa National Park – Dehing Patkai National Park

Start of another day with an amazing breakfast near the Ghat. After that, we will head towards Dehing Patkai National Park. Traveling with the local forest guide is recommended inside the deep rainforest as there is no definite track. Today we will explore the untouched forest of Dehing Patkai and the wide range of butterfly collections that it houses and later we will head towards Sivasagar which is 138 kms away and will take about 4 -5 hours. If we make it on time we can visit the Kareng Ghar, Rang Ghar, Joi Dol of the once Ahom capital. Overnight stay in Sivasagar.

Day 10: Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary – Kaziranga National Park

Early morning after breakfast we will head towards Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary as Hoolock Gibbons are only visible in the early mornings. We will trek inside the forest with the local guards and if we are lucky we might catch a glimpse of the only Ape found in India. After our trek we will head towards Kaziranga National Park which is 133 away and will take around 3 -4 hours. On reaching we can enjoy another Jeep safari in the afternoon inside the forest. Later we will visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park. Overnight stay in Kaziranga National Park. 

Day 11: Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati 

Today is the last day of the wildlife tour. After breakfast, we will head back to Guwahati which is 193 kms away and will take 5 hours. We will drop you at your respective location for your onward journey and bid goodbye.

Your tour will conclude in Guwahati on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!

Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day. After arrival we shall drive to Manas National park.
