Meghalaya, known as the abode of clouds is home to many waterfalls, natural swimming pools and caves. There are rivers that are considered among the cleanest rivers in India. Man-made living root bridges are another unique attraction. The longest sandstone cave and tallest plunge waterfall are in Meghalaya. Let's explore most of these places on a 6 days tour from Guwahati.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: GUWAHATI TO SHILLONG

Arrive at Guwahati airport and travel to Shillong. On the way visit the beautiful Umiam Lake (a reservoir in the hills). After check-in to the hotel, ride to the Liatlum canyon meaning “the End of Hills” situated at the edge of a cliff. Enjoy the picturesque view and get lost in your own thoughts. After returning back explore handicrafts and also devour some ethnic food at the famous Shillong market in Police Bazar. Later in the evening relax and enjoy your tea or coffee at the famous Dylan’s Cafe and then head to the hotel for a perfect night’s sleep.

DAY 2: SHILLONG TO CHERRAPUNJI

Get ready to travel to Cherrapunji known for its living root bridges and also holds the honour being the “wettest” place on earth. On the way visit the two-tier waterfall known as Elephant Falls and Mawkdok Dympep Valley. In Cherrapunji visit the Dainthen waterfalls and enjoy the eye-soothing Wei Sawdong also known as the three-level waterfalls or terrace waterfall ( Currently closed). Visit Nohkalikai waterfall (the tallest plunge waterfall in India), Arwah Cave and Mawsmai cave( a beautiful limestone cave). Overnight Stay in a Resort/Homestay/Hotel in Cherrapunji.

DAY 3: TREK TO DOUBLE DECKER LIVING ROOT BRIDGE: 

Put on your trekking shoes for the day!!  Transport to Tyrna village and thereafter it is a trek from Tyrna to the double-decker root bridge at Nongriat. It is  “stairway to heaven”. After a long day of trekking enjoy and relax in a Resort/Homestay/Hotel in Cherrapunji.

DAY 4: MAWRYNGKHANG BAMBOO TREK

Ready for another thrilling and adventurous trekking. Morning travel to Wahkhen Village and trek to Mawrynkhang (Also known as the bamboo trek or the scariest trek of Meghalaya). Relax there and then travel to pontung near Mawlynnong. Overnight stay in pontung.  

DAY 5: DAWKI TO SHILLONG

Morning travel to visit Mawlynnong village, the cleanest village in Asia. After that travel to Shnongpdeng in Dawki. On the way visit the Indo-Bangladesh Border. Explore activities like boating, kayaking, cliff jumping, and swimming in umngot river in Shnongpdeng.  After that travel to visit the magical Krangsuri waterfall which will definitely take your breath away. If time permits also, visit Phe Phe falls. Enjoy and travel back to Shillong for a sound sleep night stay in a hotel in Shillong.

DAY 6: SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI

Morning Explore the Shillong market and go for shopping if you want. We shall start for Guwahati before noon. Our trip will end at Guwahati Airport.

1. Lunch and dinner are not included. Dinner can be ordered in the Homestay/Hotel as per your own choice. For lunch, we can recommend good restaurants on the way of travel.
2. Check your luggage/belongings/valuables/ items in any form, before leaving the vehicle/ check out hotel. We/Our Company/organization are not responsible/liable in any manner in case of lost/misplace/damage/ forget of anything in the vehicle/hotel.
3. The rates quoted in the packages are on per person basis & valid for Indian nationals only.

1. 100% payment to be deposited to confirm the booking.
2. Please do carry mask, mini Santizier, also please do maintain social distancing. Also please do check your temperature before trip.
3. Carry warm clothes.
4. All Cost quoted is in INR (Indian Rupee).
5. Vehicle Provided as per mention tour plan (Point to Point Basis only), any additional
6. sightseeing not mentioned in the Itinerary will be charged extra.
7. No Refund or Compensation for any unused services/transportation in any circumstance.
8. Visits to Museums/Parks/Monasteries/Forts  in the program is subject to their remaining open on the day of the visit as per the rules of the competent authority.
9. We will not bear any cost for flight canceled or delayed due to Bad weather or any other reason given by the airline. The cost of accommodation and transport in such cases will have to be borne by passenger.
10. No changes in the date of travel once booked.
11. Room allotment will be as per the availability at the time of check-in, floor or view preferences are not guaranteed.
12. All expenses which are not included in the cost of package shall be paid directly by tourist at the time of checkout.
13. All tourists are advised to take comprehensive Insurance on their own.
14. The timings given in itinerary and program may be changed without notice keeping in mind local development.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

1. 30% cancellation charges if cancelled before 30 days before the tour.
2. 70% cancellation charges if cancelled within a 10-29 days before the tour.
3. No refund for tour starting within 10 days, after the starting or middle of the tour.
4. The Process of Refund will take around 7 days to complete.
