Trip Itinerary
DAY 1: GUWAHATI TO CHERRAPUNJI( 150km Apprx):
Get ready to travel to Cherrapunji known for its living root bridges and also holds the honour of being the “wettest” place on earth. On the way to Cherrapunji first visit umiam lake. After that visit the two-tier waterfall known as Elephant Falls. In Cherrapunji visit the Mawkdok Dympep and Garden of Caves. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
DAY 2: CHERRAPUNJI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING ( 50Kms Apprx)
Morning travel to visit Mawsmai Cave, A beautiful limestone cave. Also, visit Nohkalikai waterfall (the tallest plunge waterfall in India), Arwah Cave, Seven sister waterfall, Kynrem waterfalls. If time permits you can also visit Prut waterfall and lyngksiar falls. Later travel back to hotel in Cherrapunji for night stay.
DAY 3: CHERRAPUNJI TO DAWKI AND BACK TO SHILLONG( 100 Km Apprx)
Morning after breakfast travel towards Dawki. Monsoon is not the best time to visit umngot river in Dawki but we shall visit Mawlynnong village which is Known as the cleanest village in Asia. We shall also, visit the Single Living root bridge near Mawlynnong village. For monsoon time we shall travel back to Shillong but for winter we shall visit to Dawki and back to Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
DAY 4: SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI AND DEPARTURE
Morning after breakfast we shall visit to Laitlum Grand Canyone. After that we shall travel back to explore handicrafts and also devour on some ethnic food at the famous Shillong market in Police Bazar. Also known as a fashion hub, you can explore some fashionable outfits and warm clothes. After that we shall travel to Guwahati. We shall drop you at Airport/Railway station or as per your choice of location in Guwahati City.
